love looks beautiful…..

If you’re here, you're either a beautiful couple in love, a fellow artist, a wonderful vendor, a friend, or a family member.  Thank you so much for finding us and Marlene and I would love to welcome you all as our family!  We like to think our images epitomize the crazy emotions love brings out in all of us!  But, that’s not say we don’t have fun.  We really don’t take ourselves very seriously, but we do take our art seriously.  We have created this space not only to share our most current work, but also to give you a glimpse of who we are as a husband, a wife, and a family.  Have fun, look around, and leave some comments for us!  If you’re ready to talk and be a part of our world, call or email us!  By the way,  Zoë and Ray say hi!!

This morning’s run was like any other since beginning 2 months ago. Stepping away from my house and seeing the road ahead of me, I started thinking. I don’t use earphones when I run. Reason #1-I like to hear when cars are coming my way (I’m paranoid that one day I’ll become road kill). And #2- I love to be alone with my thoughts. I go over what needs to be done, what I’ve accomplished, and just how good it feels to be outside. Yup, today was like the other days. Until the clouds came and the cold wind blew so deep in my throat that I actually had to stop and cough, just to catch my breath. Whoa! Ok, I kept going. Somewhere between my to-do list and oooohhhh this is so nice, a raindrop fell on my cheek. I knew the rain was coming, but neh, not yet. As the raindrops continued to fall, I looked down at the gray streets that were slowly getting darker and darker one drop at a time. As I reached mile 2, the clouds grew angrier and streets were now slick and dark. I ran faster and enjoyed every drop that fell on my face. I stopped in the middle of the street and looked up and stopped to enjoy this moment. I’m a mom, a wife, a friend, sister, daughter, and photographer. Sometimes you need to stop in your tracks and enjoy life, no matter where you are. I said a short prayer and thanked God for my blessings…….love marlene……..

So much love for these guys!  After our annual trip to Roscoe’s (and baby Noah’s first) we headed off to the park to do some family stuff!  Last year he was but a bump, but this year little man was part of the festivities!  Major love to Anthony especially  for putting his Jordan’s at risk all in the name of photography!!  Can’t wait to see you guys again in April!!  Long Beach//CA

As the sun gently reflected off the Downtown San Diego skyline at sunset, Katherine made her way out of the Admiral Kidd Club and headed toward  a Hawaiian inspired wedding canopy and Justin.  Justin, caught up in the moment, reached for support as his knees buckled at the site of his gorgeous bride.  After a moving ceremony, Justin was equally as cool as Katherine’s heel got caught in her dress, and without hesitation he picked her up and carried her down the aisle!!  As the day transitioned into night, they danced and enjoyed the evening with family and friends.  The beauty of this wedding lies not only with the simplicity of the day but also with the two pure hearts of Katherine and Justin.  These two are in LOVE and it shows!!!

It was so wonderful to venture down to San Diego and take advantage of its beautiful light and spend the day with Katherine, Justin and their family and friends.  We are so thankful our paths crossed with them!

Our first wedding of the year consisted of a beautiful day, a beautiful venue and most importantly a beautiful couple. We were able to calm the butterflies in Andy’s stomach with a first look before the wedding. This is something we normally recommend for increased photo opportunities, but in this case Andy was more than comforted by the sight of his soon to be wife! We hope Dianne and Andy had a wonderful honeymoon and we wish them all the best!

my take on catherine & thaibinh’s wedding day.  I was privliged to tag along with Jeret and Kristy Slack back in November to be their third shooter at this wonderful wedding.  Second or third shooting is such an amazing experience as you are able to document the day from a distance and from a different perspective.  It also helps that catherine and thaibinh were an absolute delight to work with!  Thanks again Jeret and Kristy for inviting me.
