love looks beautiful…..

If you’re here, you're either a beautiful couple in love, a fellow artist, a wonderful vendor, a friend, or a family member.  Thank you so much for finding us and Marlene and I would love to welcome you all as our family!  We like to think our images epitomize the crazy emotions love brings out in all of us!  But, that’s not say we don’t have fun.  We really don’t take ourselves very seriously, but we do take our art seriously.  We have created this space not only to share our most current work, but also to give you a glimpse of who we are as a husband, a wife, and a family.  Have fun, look around, and leave some comments for us!  If you’re ready to talk and be a part of our world, call or email us!  By the way,  Zoë and Ray say hi!!

Kerran and Corey were married at the amazing Rancho Capistrano.   Having met each other at while working at an aquatic center it was only logical for them to jump in a pool after their wedding. I was more than willing to jump in since it was pretty hot that day!  Much love to Kerran and Corey for allowing us the privilege of documenting their day!  enjoy!

A few weeks ago Ray and I traveled to the Abbot Kinney portion of Venice for an engagement session with Tiffany and Gordon.  While my engagement sessions usually rely on love as a prop, Tiffany brought her teddy bear, a big pink balloon and of course Gordon to personalize their session! We finished up our time together on the beach right before sunset.  Yes some feel beaches can be cliche, but I think these images prove that there’s still a lot of cool left in the beach!  Thanks to Tiffany and Gordon for a wonderful afternoon, and btw Zoe loved the big pink balloon!  Tiffany & Gordon//Venice CA//July 2010

Last January we were shooting a wedding in San Diego when I get three consecutive emails from Jenna during the reception.  She anxiously sent those emails hoping we were available for her wedding, thankfully we were!  Once we met up for the consultation though, Marlene and I were just as anxious to shoot their wedding!  You may remember their incredible e-session in the LA Art District a few months ago, but that is nothing compared to their wedding day!  Even though Jenna didn’t want a “beach” wedding photos, I think the venue and people made this wedding very special!  We’re proud to show off these images and even more proud to call Jenna and Wayhowe our friends!  Enjoy!  Jenna & Wayhowe/July 13, 2010/Laguna Beach CA/

We love these photos almost as much as we love Mary and Winston!  They were married last month at the beautiful Rancho Capistrano and their day was just perfect!  As an added bonus, we also got to spend the day with Mary’s family who we met earlier in the year at Diane and Andy’s wedding!  Many thanks and blessings to both of you!!  Mary and Winston//Rancho Capistrano//July 3, 2010

When I met with Gabrielle and Randy before their wedding, they told me they wanted a relaxed celebration with friends and family!  Held at an amazing restaurant and lunge in downtown LA, the couple drew on 1950’s style and vibe to create a very unique wedding that was beautiful and super relaxed!.  They were able to enjoy their day completely by not focusing on the little details and allowing the day to play out naturally.  At one point I asked Gabrielle were they were going to be married and she responded, “oh somewhere over there”.  Love it!!  Gabrielle wore an amazing custom dress made by her mother who also made her headpiece and designed all the florals for the day!!  A family friend made the gorgeous necklace she wore.    The one thing I really appreciated was the fact that beginning with their arrival hand in hand, they never separated the entire evening! Much love to these two for allowing us to spend a special evening with their family and friends!//special thanks to Evelyn for putting in a good word!  We love you girl!//

Venues don’t get much cooler than the Marvimon, and couples definitely don’t have more style than Katie and Jason!  You may remember their stylish yet laid back engagement shoot. Their wedding certainly did not disappoint and was an extension of their style, beauty, and laid back personalities!  It was a pleasure working with such awesome individuals!  Hope you enjoy!

In one of those “oh great” moments, Zoe recently inquired why she was at our wedding.  “Do most mommy and daddy’s have kids before they get married” she asked.   I calmly responded that some don’t, but we were in such a hurry to meet her we didn’t have time to get married before she was born!!  After a big smile and hug, she was off and totally satisfied with my explanation of our how our  family came to be!!

Virginia and Chris were married in the backyard of a historical home they recently purchased and lovingly restored.  Like Marlene and I, they not only created a marriage on their wedding day, but also a family by bringing together two families!!  They were married in a Ceremony where an officiant was not present, but rather their friends and family circled them and  gave testimony to their love and commitment.  It was a wonderful time with wonderful people//enjoy!//May 8, 2010//Los Angeles, CA
